More Zoning changes to the East Side
The EDAC Economic Development Advisory Committee has made proposed changes to the zoning ordinances that support business interests without consulting or informing the residential communities in San Carlos before bringing these changes to the Planning Commission Monday Evening October 3rd.
These changes affect our neighborhood and do not seem to take into consideration our recommendations that we presented to the planning commission when our neighborhood came out to voice our concerns regarding.
Please take some time to review the materials, I have not taken a deep dive into the materials, but in a nutshell, it looks like the EDAC did not listen to the concerns of our community regarding being surrounded by 50 foot high buildings on all sides of the neighborhood.
I’m not sure if they put back 50+ foot high buildings along East San Carlos, but we will need to examine that as well.
